The amounts shown under the "labour" heading are the trust's direct expenditure on wages of gangers and subsidies on relief workers' wages. The materials include purchases of trees, tools, barrows, cost of erection of camps, and free messing when so supplied, transportation to camps and daily jobs, sundry materials, etc. The numbers of relief workers em- 1 ployed over this period were:— j
