OXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL
At the ordinary monthly meeting or the Oxford County Council there were present Mr P. Fisher (chairman), and Messrs L. Watson, H. G. Parish, F. W. Engelbrecht, W. Collings, C. F. Bassett, and F. Gorton. The monthly report, which was adopted, stated that the following roads had been shingled:—Woodstock with 372 yards, McJarrows with 80 §ards, Carleton road with 18 yards, aleyards with 80 yards, and Rockford road with 393 yards shingle; the lords had been repaired and a culvert on A. Meyers road had bee"n repaired. Mr F. J. Meyer and Mr H. Cotterill were granted permission to plough their road frontages on condition that the ploughing was disced and levelled. The chairman and clerk were appointed to inspect Old View Hill creek ford on Browns Rock road. It was decided to repair Carleton ford, and to grade South Eyre road from Woodstock road to the Eyre County. Crs. Gorton, Collings, and Bassett were appointed a committee to investigate the possibility of supplementing the water for the Eyre water races. The Carleton Domain Board wrote asking the council to allow the gate at j the Domain to be moved to the north boundary of the domain. It was left with the chairman and clerk to report.
