WELLINGTON, November 11 The lives of two retired men who arrived in Wellington to-day by »• Maunganui from San Francisco, eacn to visit his farmer nephew in N** Zealand, seem to have been runn»» almost parallel for the last 30 yew or so. These two friends are Dr. »■ Tancred Stack, and Colonel G. A. r ' Brown. .. Dr. Stack retired from his practice in Liverpool, England, four years ago. after having been in his profession »r 30 years. Dr. Brown retired from tne army also four years ago. -after * years' service, in which he campaigns in South Africa. West Africa, India, and the West Indies, and France-./ Since their retirements, Colons Brown and Dr. Stack have be*" travelling together in Switzerland Italy, and the United States. wStack has come to visit his nepneWj Mr W. Saife, who is stationed a Glendhu, Central Otago. Colon" Brown will see lus nephew. Mr Anthony Brown, who is fanning n es Fciiding.
