ASSAULT AND ROBBERY
♦ OUTRAGE ON FERRY-BOAT IN SYDNEY BUSINESS MAN THROWN OVERBOARD SYDNEY, November 6. Mr Edward Chisholm, aged 61, secretary to a city firm, was brutally attacked on the harbour ferryboat early this morning, robbed of £llOO, and then thrown into the harbour by his attackers. Mr Chisholm was able to keep afloat, and his cries were heard by the crew of the ferry-boat on its return trip to the city, 15 minutes later. He was admitted to hospital with a fractured skull, and his dying depositions were taken. Mr Chisholm was sitting alone in the bow of the boat when two men approached and stunned him with a blow on the head. It is believed that his assailants mingled with the crowd and walked ashore when the ferry-boat reached Neutral Bay.
