THE WEATHER Thei'e was some bright sunshine in Christchurch yesterday morning, and until early in the afternoon, when the sky clouded, and the wind freshened from the east. "Wellington—Yesterday the weather was perfect, with continuous sunshine and a light southerly breeze. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 55.7 degrees, and the maximum for the day was 60.8 degrees. Dunedln—The weather yesterday was fine, with considerable passing cloud and some sunshine. A light north-east breeze blew. The temperature at midday was 55 degrees, and the maximum for the day was 57 degrees. FORECAST (Fran leadings taken at 4 p.m.) General situation—A fairly intense anti-cyclone now covers New Zealand.
