COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
On Saturday night at the home of Mr and Mrs W. E. Simes (Bealey street), friends of Mr R. Simes gathered to honour and congratulate him on the occasion of his coming of age. The party was arranged as a surprise and organised by Mr A. J. Donaldson and Miss L. Cameron. Original games and competitions were included on the evening's programme, prizes being won by Messrs M. A. Cameron and W. Broughton, Mesdames P. Newman, L. Wright, and M. Rhodes. On behalf of those present, Mr A. J. Donaldson camera to Mr Simes. Among those present were Mr and Mrs W. E. Simes, Mrs Kay-Thompson, Misses L. Cameron, I. Brown, M. Rhodes, C. Newman, P. Newman, L. Wright, R. Hayes, E. Ward, B. Laverty, Messrs J. M. Cameron, G. P. Irving, A. J. Donaldson, W. Brown, J. B, Calnan, R. Simes, M. A. Cameron, A. J. Copland, J. Nelson, G. Lecce, and Masters L- Donaldson and A. Cameron.
