WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD

The Waimakariri Harbour Board met last night. Present—The chairman IMr R. F. Joyce), Messrs W. A. Young, J. Hirst, J. Bryden, J. A. Mealings, H. Rinaldi, and D. M. Ramsay. The Kaiapoi Beautifying and Progress Association wrote congratulating the board on the improvement made in beautifying the river banks. The secretary to the Marine Department, Wellington, wrote forwarding copies of general by-laws made under the Harbour Act dealing with motorlaunches. The by-laws were adopted. It was decided to bring them into force on December 1. 1934.
