— U (CONTINUED FROM PAGE 13) POTATO SHORTAGE IN AUSTRALIA CANTERBURY OFFER MINISTER SAYS EMBARGO MUST STAY FOR PRESENT (Received October 12, 1.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 11. A cablegram was received in Sydney to-day from New Zealand stating that there were abundant supplies of first--class potatoes available in Canterbury, for shipment to Australia to relieve the acute shortage here if the existing embargo were lifted. ™ S TO referred to Mr F.
