The activity at the Wheat Research Institute during the year has exemplified well the value of scientific co-operation with the three sections of the wheat industry, according to the annual report of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, tabled in the House of Representatives to-day. The repoi t states that a new wheat, cross 7, lias been brought to a stage of commercial exploitation, and after exhaustive, trials has shown a high per acre yield capacity, and an increased yield of flour, associated //ifh a definitely higher baiting quality.
