NEW PROGRAMMES
Drama and Comedy for City Theatres Drama and comedy will occupy most of the programmes at city theatres during: the coming week. At the Regent the latest Norma Shearer film, "Riptide," will be screened, with Robert Montgomery appearing with Miss Shearer. An unusually entertaining comedy-drama, "The Bowery," will be shown at the Theatre Royal, the stars being Wallace Beery, George Raft, Jackie Cooper, and Fay Wray. Jack Buchanan's latest musical extravaganza, "That's a Good Girl," will head the programme at the Civic. The double-feature programme at the Crystal Palace will include a new John Barrymore film, "Long Lost Father," and the romantic drama, "All of Me," featuring those clever stars, Fredric March, Miriam Hopkins, and George Raft. At the Majestic will be shown the entertaining comedy, "Three of a Kind," the stars of which are Sally Eilers, Zasu Pitts, and Charles Starrett. Programmes at two theatres will be shown for a second week. They are the Tivoli ("Turkey Time") and the Plaza ("Love, Life, and • Laughter"). At the Liberty the double-feature programme will include a mystery romance, "The Silver Spoon," starring Garry Marsh and Binnie Barnes, and "Pick Up," a drama starring Sylvia Sidney and George Raft. At the Grand Mae West's "She Done Him Wrong" will be revived. Programmes for the coming week are as follows: REGENT —"Riptide," starring Norma Shearer and Robert Montgomery. M-G-M. To-morrow.
