The International Metal Workers' Congress, representing 700,000 men, unanimously passed a resolution in favour of disarmament by all nations and the consideration by the League of Nations of the control of the production and export of munitions. The conference also urged that affiliated organisations should concentrate against Fascism. Mr R. Dennison, for the British delegates, urged that at the moment war seemed inevitable and the congress should be called together to consider whether metal workers would make munitions.
