♦ MR J. M. ILOTT IMPROVING IN HEALTH ITHI PRESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, August «. Mr J. M. Ilott, the recently elected Governor of the New Zealand Rotary district, who became seriously ill two months ago while attending the International Rotary Convention in Detroit, United States, is gradually improving in 'health, and it is hoped that he will eventually completely regain his health. His illness was due to food infection. Reference to Mr Ilott's health was made at the weekly luncheon of the Auckland Rotary Club by Mr T. Armstrong, governor of the .seventy-sixth Rotary district, which embraces New South Wales and part of Queensland. Mr Armstrong, who attended the convention in Detroit, and who is returning to Australia on the Aorangi, said Mr Ilott had been very seriously ill, and that at one time his lii'e was despaired of. The infection arose from the eating of olives. Although he was slowly recovering, he would have to • take rreat care of himself for many ' mon'hs to come. < "Yesterday," continued Mr Arm- • strong, "I received the following • message from the Rotary Interna- * tional: 'Uott wonderfully improving.
