ACCIDENTS
FATAL INJURY ELDERLY MAN HIT BY BICYCLE Arthur Walter Tyerman, aged 74 years, a railway employee, residing at Moorhouse avenue, died in the Public Hospital at 11 o'clock last evening from a fractured skull. He was struck by a bicycle shortly before 9.30 p.m. in Moorhouse avenue near the intersection with Antigua street, and was thrown to the ground. He was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by the St. John Free Ambulance, and was admitted to the ward at 9.35. His death occurred an hour and a half later.
