EDUCATION BOARD ELECTIONS
CANDIDATES NOMINATED Nominations for the election of members to represent the respective wards of the Canterbury Education District on the Education Board, closed at 5 p.m. yesterday, at the office of the secretary, Mr C. R. Kirk. In one case—the Timaru urban areavoting will not be necessary, but in all the others a poll will be taken. The election will be held on July 18. The nominations for the areas are: CHRISTCHURCH URBAN AREA (Two members required): Hurley, John James. Langley, William Taylor. McLeod, Murdoch. TIMARU URBAN AREA (One member required): Preen, John William. NORTH-WEST WARD (One member required): Robinson, William James. Wild, Richard. MIDDLE WARD(One member required): Banks, William Alexander. Penlington, Henry Frank. SOUTH WARD (One member required); Smart; John Thomas. Smith, Stanley.
