THE LABOUR PARTY
MKKTING AT KAIAI'OI Mr M. J. Savage, leader of the Parliamentary Labour party, addressed a public meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, Kaiapoi. last night. The Mayor, Mr W. H. A. Vickery, presided over a fair attendance. Mr Savage gave an outline of the causes of the present position of New Zealand and referred especially to the Dominion's relations to markets overseas. On the motion of Mr C. Morgan Williams, Mr Savage was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. A vole of confidence in the Labour party was also passed.
