THE LEGION AGAIN
The Soulless Legion. By Ex-Legion-naire 1384. In Collaboration with \V. J. Blacklcdg;e. Denis Archer. 288 pp. (7/6 net.) This book is written by a professional journalist and purports to give a faithful account of true but romantic experiences. As a matter of fact it is so cunningly prepared that the "real life" bait is quite superfluous. People in search of sensations will be attracted by the title and cover and chapter headings alone; and in justice to the authors it must, be said that the book itseli does not disappoint expectations. There are the stories about the Officer who Shot Babies, the Monk Who Married, the Red-haired Scot who Ran the Legion, and fifteen equally lurid others. The whole is a journalistic masterpiece.
