Both employers and employees' assessors modified their original requests, but there was finally still a difference of 7s Cd between the rates proposed by the two parties for the weekly wage. The Conciliation Commissioner. Mr 'S. Kitehie. presided. The assessors j for the employers were Messrs H. C. j Ilasall, F. B. Crcsswell, and D. I. i Macdonald. and for the employees S Messrs C. E. Tubb. R. A. Bradbury. : and Miss 1;. T. Nolnn. j ! When tin- council adjourned on j ! March ! the employees' proposal for j the weekly wage was .C2 10s and the | employers 1 £1 13s.
