The ' recently installed District Deputv- ! Grand Master, Hro. A. Gow, was pre- ! sent, and received the congratulations ! of the lodge. The lodge unanimously carried a vote of confidence in the work of the lo.iyc's sports committee, including 1 the selection of teams to represent the ; led He. | The delegates to the recent district ; conference presented their reports, ; which were received. The retiring j Grand Master, Bro. S. J. Gearv, was j congratulated on his successful ' term ; of office, and it was decided to present him with a suitable token of the ; lodge's esteem. ; The secretary. Bro. W. R. Dullard, i was congratulated on receiving a disI trict membership jewel for introducing 20 members into the lodge. It was reported that the lodge had recently succeeded in obtaining its j initial win against the Loyal RiccarI ton Lodge in the annual cricket match, ■ the scores being Loyal Progress 178 . (C. Adams 105 not out. H. Parsons 20), i ana Loyal Riccarton 144 (Scott 43, | Caukwell 37). Bro. S. Berry, bowling I for the Progress Lodge, took four wicI kets lor 17 runs.
