NEW NAME FOR FERRY ROAD HALL Commencing from Saturday evening next, the Ferry Road Hall will bt known'as the Alexandra Hall. Ihe management decided on the name substitution as the title Alexandra will be suitable for the old-time tunctions which are popular in the hall. It is named after the old Alexandra Hall which was erected on the Civic iheatie she in 1900 and used for °)d-timc dancing until destroyed by file m 1917. The name Alexandra will rcctill memorics to many old-time dancers of happj times spent in the old ballroom, ro mark the occasion, an "opening name gala" of old-time dancing will be held in the hall next. Saturday evening, when many entertaining novelties and competitions will be introduced. A special invitation is extended to olcltimp dancers who used to frequent the old Alexandra Hall.
