In the reports of other officers mention was made that electrical storms in January had caused a fair amount, of damage to apparatus in the board's reticulation lines. The secretary was authorised to write to the Public Works Department suggesting that should it be desired that any of the board's lines near the aerodrome be placed underground, the department should bear the difference in cost between a pole line' and the underground Jin»\ It was reported that an inspection of Ihe lines in the board's area would be made by an officer of the Public Works Department during this month. The chairman reported on the progress of negotiations for a new agreement with the Public Works Department for supply of power from Lake Coleridge. The board was endeavouring to have the amount of guarantee reduced from £IO,OOO per' annum to £3OOO. and the department wished the board to give an undertaking not to purchase current from any other power supply authority The tender of M.
