Judge Drake-Brockman, of the Arbitration Court, made an order prohibiting the New South Wales Railway Commissioner from enforcing an award made by him recently covering a section of the employees. The judge remarked that conditions in New South Wales and South Australia were confused, owing to the overlapping of federal and state awards. This would be perpetuated if the order asked for were granted. Now was the time to make a comprehensive award and get rid of overlapping.
