The nurse's report for the month was as follows:—Visits to Papanui rooms: Adults 143, babies 141. It was reported that, after Nurse McLean's departure in May last. Nurse Garland had taken charge until the end of the year. The committee placed on record its appreciation of the work done by Nurse Garland during the time she was relieving for the subbranch. Members said the branch was fortunate in having Nurse Morton for its nurse, and the committee felt sure she would maintain a very high standard in the care of the babies in the district. On behalf of the committee, Mrs Wilson welcomed Nurse Merton, and hoped she would be happy in her new district. Arrangements were made to hold a bring and buy afternoon party tomorrow, in the Papanui Plunket rooms. It was hoped that the mothers would co-operate with the committee in its effort to raise money for the nurse's salary. Mrs L. M. Wilson will represent the subbranch at the conference to be held in Dunedin, and several members have signified their intention of attending. Subscriptions were gratefully received from Mesdames R. Robilliard, F. Hinton, W. Nicol, W. H. Holdsworth, and H. S. Butler. MORNING TEA PARTY Sir John Sandeman Allen, and Lady Allen, were the guest of Sir John's niece, Mrs J. F.
