A better get-up of the Wanganui wool clip so that full advantage of the improvement in the market might be obtained was urged by the monthly meeting of the council of the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce. The president (Mr A. S. Burgess) said that a buyer had remarked to him that in some cases Continental limits exceeded those of Bradford by at least 2d per lb, but the Continent would not bid for some clips if the pieces were in. It was at a request of a buyer, said Mr Burgess, that he was raising the matter. Better classing would result in better prices for the clip, and for the pieces, too. The brokers were not at fault, as they had always urged farmers to class. It was decided to discuss the proposal wit lithe Farmers' Union.
