Milk vendors have approached the Wanganui City Council with a request for certain restrictions aimed at improving the economic basis of their trade. They complain too many milkmen are operating, with the result that many find themselves unable to make a living. The council's aid has been solicited to restrict the number of licenses issued to a more reasonable total. The provision of a supply of good, clean milk, fully up to the standard required by the Health Department, has been the major concern of the council in the past, and there has been a hesitancy to enter into any direct control of the supply beyond (.hat. The Health Department is now insisting on the regulation that milk must not be sold from the same premises as fruit and vegetables. In the near future the council will look into the matter comprehensively. FRUIT PRESERVING. Ring Minsons for what you want. Two deliveries each dav.
