CITY BOOT STORE DAMAGED BY FIRE

CTKESS ASSOCIATION TSLEGKAJt.) AUCKLAND, February 7. Damage estimated at £6OO was done by a fire which broke out early this morning in a city boot store in Karangahape road. The firemen used a door-forcing device and a sledge hammer to open the front door which had recently beqn strengthened against burglars, and in five minutes from the time the alarm was given had two leads playing on the flames. Other stock on the shelves was undamaged. The stock was insured with Lloyd's Insurance Company.
