1 SHORTAGE OF FUEL OIL (Spo-iul to United Press Ashocinlion —13.v Rndio.) APIA, February 6. The German cruiser Karlsruhe sailed on Monday evening for Honolulu, two days ahead of schedule. She returned to the anchorage outside the roadstead on Saturday morning, and the programme for the entertainment of German residents was carried out, but the citizens' ball on Monday night was cancelled. She left early because her supply of fuel oil was sufficient to enable her to reach Honolulu, but not to allow of cruising round outside the harbour and keeping up full steam in case of bad weather. The weather is now good.
