ANNUAL PICNIC

SUMNER SCHOOL AND BOROUGH The annual picnic of the Sumner School and borough was held at Pleasant Point Domain yesterday. The morning was dull and overcast, with occasional showers, with the result that the attendance was lower than usual. Omnibuses conveyed the visitors to the picnic grounds, and the catering arrangements were in the hands of Mr and Mrs Pickles. During the afternoon a sports programma was provided, this being supervised by Messrs McKenzie, Brown, Stevens, K. Shrimpton, and R. Knox. Prises had been given by the business* people and resident* of Sumner, and wer« presented at the conclusion of the events. The following were the results:— Girls' Race, four and five yeaTS—W.
