with national characteristics. On the other hand the voice of the South African announcer was so uncompromisingly cheerful that I imagine many a South African's Christmas must have been spoiled. Nothing can be more annoying than to hear an announcer full of that spirit of: "What ho! Is'nt everything lovely? I think so!"
