A deep and severe cut to his arm was sustained by Arthur Hepburn while cutting blackberries on his property at Ahaura yesterday, and after being treated by Dr. Hutson, of Blackball, Hepburn was admitted to the Grey River Hospital. Shallcrass, J.P., Charles Joseph Butler, who had been arrested the previous evening on warrant from Invercargill. on a charge of disobeying a maintenance order, arrears on which amounted to £7l Is lid, was remanded to appear at Invercargill on January 4. It was stated by the police that Butler had come to the West Coast to give evidence at a case at Hokitika, and had in his possession a return ticket to Invercargill.
