The Indian airman, Mohan Singh, who is chief pilot to the Maharaja of Patiala, is awaiting favourable weather to start his attempt to beat Mrs J. A. Mollison's record flight to Cape Town. His machine, which has a range of about 1200 miles, and a cruising speed of 125 miles an hour, is at Croydon, undergoing final adjustments. [Mrs J. A. Mollison, using a Puss Moth, flew from Lympne, Kent, to Cape Town in November, 1932, in four davs six hours 56 minutes, beating the record of her husband, made in March, by 10 hours 28 minutes.
