RETURN OF CRANES TO HUNGARY
BUDAPEST, November 24. The crane, a legendary bird of the Hungarian folk-song', has of late years almost ceased to visit this country. An extraordinary spectacle is. however, reported from Debrecen, where a passage of cranes lasted for more than four hours. The cranes numbered from (JO to 70 flocks, each flock consisting of from 40 to 50 birds, flying in V formation, like the wild duck.
