Mrs Charles Beadel and Miss Maberley Beadel (Merivale) are spending a holiday with Mrs F. A. Nixon at Kaikoura. Mrs Bayard Parkham (Suva), who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs Arthur Chapman, Knowles street, is now the guest of Mrs F. A. Joynt, Temuka. Mrs Abraham and Miss Diana Abraham (Dunedin) will arrive in Christchurch next week to meet Mrs Abraham's brother, Mr Geoffrey Denniston, Adelaide, who will arrive in Christchurch on Wednesday morning. With Miss Ilelen Denniston, they will take Mrs O. T. J. Alpers's house at Fendalton for a week. Miss Sylvia Thomson (Rlccarton) left yesterday for Timaru, where she will attend the school of drama held under the auspices of the British Drama League. Chapman (Greenpark) is visiting her son at Aylesbury. Miss Fay Roberts (Leithfiekl), who lias been visiting her aunt, Mrs La Trobe, Wellington, returned to Christchurch yesterday, and will leave for North Canterbury this evening. Miss Ranee Broughton (Watford street) will leave to-morrow for a visit to Timaru. Miss Betty Cunningham ("Brentwood," Slaveley). who has been oaving a round of visits in Timaru, will return home to-day. Commander A. D. Boyle, K.N. (retired). who returned to the Dominion last week from England, and Miss Phyllis Boyle, who went to Auckland to meet him, arrived in Christchurch yesterday. Mrs Buchanan and her daughter.
