BLAME LA1I) ON POST OFFICE LONDON, December 21. Discussing the statement that'the time allowance on the England-Aus-tralia air route seems excessive, the "Manchester Guardian" contends that Imperial Airways cannot be blamed. They have not the funds to run separate mail services. The policy of the Post Office ties them to the use of liners carrying mails and passengers together. Such aeroplanes as the- HP42S, flying in Kenya, are undoubtedly the quietest and most comfortable air liners in existence, but the company should not be obliged to carry mails in them. The Post Office seems, convinced ; that cheaper and swifter air ser- 1 vices will not pay as yet. Ameri- 1 con experience shows that demand j follows the provision, of facilities. ['
