RANGIORA COUNTY COUNCIL
The Rangiora County Council met yesterday. Present: Messrs W. Stalker (chairman), J. Brosnan, .M. C. Orttiandy, G. K. Crysell, A. Mcintosh, and J. M. Young. In his report the foreman stated that the bridges in the Cust riding Had been painted and the scarifying i of the Lineside road commenced. At the request of the Waikuku Beach Improvement Association it Was agreed to prohibit the parking of cars on the road fronting the beach domain on Boxing Day and also to Prohibit camping on the road near the domain. The Commissioner of Unemployment wrote stating the work performed under the No. 5 scheme "over the fence" was in future to be restricted to developmental farming operations. It was agreed to support the Waiapu County Council in its proposal to call s conference of local bodies to discuss the native rating problem. A statement of accounts of the •Rangiora group traffic inspector from the date of commencement of his Operations to September 30 showed the receipts to have been £2BO 19s 4d and the payments £302 Is 2d, leaving a balance of £2l 2s 4d to be met by the local bodies, the council's share Ming £6 6s 4d. Tht financial statement showed the *€ceipts for November to have been £4OO 9s 5d and payments £446 3s 9d, leaving a debit balance of £3550 10s Accounts totalling £647 17s Id p were passed for payment. .■mini
