FINED FOR ASSAULT
{PRESS AS3OCIITIOS TILBGBiIt.) WELLINGTON, December 3. Reserved judgment was given to-day by Mr E. Page, S.M., on a charge o£ assault againsti John Hugh Marshall in a dispute between Marshall and Robert Westley Bothamley, a solicitor and chairman of the Makara County Counicil. Mr Page said that there was no doubt an assault had been committed and imposed a fine of £5, which he increased at counsel's request to enable an appeal to be lodged, security for which was fixed at the amount of the fine, £5 Is, plus 10 guineas.
