JUDGMENT AGAINST PUBLIC TRUSTEE
RENTS HELD TO BE INADEQUATE (rjlt.'S ASSOCIATION TItLIORAU.) WELLINGTON, December 8. Adopting the report of the referee (Mr E. Page, S.M.), Mr Justice MacGrcgor to-day gave reserved judgment in the Merry case, awarding Mrs Merry £1059 15s 2d with interest from June 30 and costs amounting to £615, witnesses' expenses, and disbursements against the Public Trustee. The action was taken on the ground that rentals from certain properties were inadequate. His Honour fixed the remuneration of the referee at £lO5, also to be paid by defendant.
