ADMIRAL BYRD'S PLANS
NO CALL AT DUNEDIN MR ELLSWORTH TO LEAVE NEXT WEEK (PRESS ASSOCIATION TBLBQHAU.I DUNEDIN, November 29. Dunedin is to have only one Antarctic expedition this year. Definite advice has been received by Mr J. H. Duncan, manager for Tapley and Company that Rear-Admiral R. E. Byrd's expedition wiil not call at Dunedin on its way south, but will take on its stores at Wellington. This is chiefly because a good deal of time has been lost on the voyage from the United States, and Admiral Byrd is anxious to reach Antarctica as soon as possible. In the meantime work is steadily proceeding aboard Mr Lincoln Ellsworth's ship the Wyatt Earp, which will probably leave Dunedin for the Bay of Whales early next week.
