CANTERBURY CLUB NOW OWNS ITS GREEN To mark the Canterbury Bowling Club's fiftieth anniversary, documents have been signed giving the club the freehold of the property on which its green is situated. The area purchased is a little more than half an acre. To commemorate the jubilee in some fitting way several proposals were submitted by members of the committee, and it was eventually agreed that if enough support were forthcoming the club should purchase the freehold of the property. The committee approached the members, and between £3OO and £4OO was contributed for the purpose. The documents were signed* by Mr !"• J. Barlow, the president, and Messrs E. A. Summers and M.
