LODGE MEETING

The fortnightly meeting of the Pride of Christchurch Tent was held at the Young Men's Christian Association on Monday evening, Bro. T. Nuttall, chieJ! ruler, presiding over a targe attendance of members. One new candidate was initiated and given a most cordial welcome by the chief ruler. Opportunity was also taken to extend a welcome to Bro. Gilmour and members of the Alpha Tent, Millerton, who were paying a visit to Christchurch. Sick stewards' reports were given and received, and sick pay passed for payment. Juvenile superintendents' reports were given by Sister Smallwood and Bro. Jackson, recording good meetings at both the Whakaora and Tawera Tents. A motion of sympathy was passed to Bro. S. G. Northey, of Palrnerston North, and an honorary member of this lent, on his illness, and best wishes were expressed for his speedy recovery. Bros. W. D. Bin'.!, and G. Good were elected as delegates to provincial council for the ensuing term. The social portion of the evening was in the capable hands of the chief ruler, Bro. Nuttall, who provided a most interesting entertainment of communitv singing and games.
