GISBORNE, October 17. j Mr Graham Mirfield, who was serii ously injured in an aeroplane crash I near Rabaul (New Guinea), and Mrs ; Mirfield, who was killed, visited Gis--1 borne on their honeymoon early in i the present year, the bridegroom bei ing the son of a local architect. : Mrs Mirfield was the daughter of a ] well-known Rabaul trader. She possessed a sparkling personality which won her immediate popularity among the wide circle of her husband's I friends. i Mr Graham Mirflfld went to Rabaul as an engineer for Carpenter's, Ltd., later becoming manager of the firm's j factories. He recently took up land.
