WOMAN'S BODY IN POND
SEARCH TOR HER HUSBAND i;-Ui:s.> association" telegram.! AUCKLAND, October 16. The body of Mrs Lakey, wife of Samuel Lakey. a farmer, of Rotowaro, near Huntly. was found in a pond this morning. It had been covered with briar which partly hid it. A neighbour noiiced the cows had not been milked, and found that both Lakey and his wife were missing. The beds had not been slept in, and a shotgun kept in the house was not there. A party of Auckland detectives has gone to join in the search.
