SUGGESTION DENTED
HRITISII ATTITIDK NOT ISLAMKI) GENEVA, October 15. In British quarters the suggestion that Sir John Simon's speech precipitated Germany's withdrawal from the League is denied. It is emphasised that the speech granted Germany some immediate equality of status, as well as an army of 200.000. Mr Arthur Henderson recommends a brief adjournment of the Disarmament Commission in order to envisage the situation which, it is believed, is due to Hcrr Hitler's- personal initiative. Germany has not notified her actual withdrawal from the League, but Iter delay is not interpreted as a change of mind. The text of the commission's reply to Germany is now being prepared.
