The amazing total of 10,876 bottles was secured by a special four-day collection arranged by the Owairaka School, Auckland, in aid of ground improvements. When the "drive" was completed 70 sacks of bottles, realising more than £2O, were taken by dealers. The arrival at the school of innumerable trollies packed high with bottles was an amusing sight each morning during the collection. The "drive" was made in preparation for a "Paddv's Market."
