WEST CHRISTCHURCH HIGH SCHOOL PRELIMINARIES HELD Heavy rain over the week-end deadened the ground at Hagley Park yesterday afternoon, when the preliminaries for the West Christchurch Disi trict High School's annual sports were jrun. When the finals are decided on Wednesday many good finishes should be seen, as the times on the slow I ground and against a slight head wind were good, especially in the 100 yards, in which quite a number of competitors were timed in less than Usee.
