"ROUND THE GORGES'.' PRESENTATION OF IROI'HIES Prizes won in "Round the Gorges" road race on Saturday were presented in the Papanui Memorial Hall lasL ni»ht by the Mayoress < Mrs D. G. Sullivan). Tn the absence of the Mayor, the Deputy-Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer.) presided. The most pouular presentation of the evening war. made to Mr W. Bailey, ambulance official to the club. Speaking on behalf of the riders, Mr J. Sturrock said that Mr Bailey was held in verv high esteem, and spoke ot the sacrifices that Mr Bailey had made for the benefit of riders. Stoke', Mr J. Sturrock and Mr A. C. Hands acted as masters of ceremonies.
