SALVATION ARMY
SELF-DENIAL APPEAL The Salvation Army is urgently in need of money to carry on its welfare work in the city, and accordingly it wiil make a self-denial to the public on Friday next. A number of street stalls will be conducted, and persons who can assist with gifts of cakes, flowers, jams, fruit, and vegetables, are asked to leave their parcels at the Army's headquarters, Regent buildings, Cathedral square. Many more collectors are also required, and volunteers are asked to ring telephone number 36-516.
