MAGISTRATE'S COURT
SATURDAY. I (Before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M.) A DOMESTIC QUARREL. Ernest Vincent Cocker ill. aged 46, ■ was cjiarged with assaulting A. C. Gough, with using obscene language in Barbadoes street, and with wilfully i damaging a door in Gough's house. The offences were alleged to have been committed on Friday. Accused pleaded guilty to all charges. Sub-Inspector G. B. Edwards said that a constable on duty in High street about 0 p.m., had received a complaint from Gough that there was : trouble at his house. He had gone - to the house w\th Gough, and had seen : accused strike him and use the langu- ; age complained of. Accused had also : kicked at the door to try to get into the house. Mr R. A. Young said the trouble had arisen over a domestic matter. Accused was a good worker and was earning good wages and his employ- . ers were willing to overlook the matter. Accused was fined £2 and costs, in default one month's imprisonment, on the charge of using obscene language, on the charge of assault he was convicted and discharged, and on the charge of damaging a door lie was ordered to pay 7s 6d costs. t =— |<
