INFLATION OPPOSED
AMERICAN LABOUR ATTITUDE (Received October 13, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. October 12. The American Federation of Labour to-day approved resolutions opposing inflation, declaring that it would bring "the greatest possible harm" to wage-earners. It criticised some of the policies of the National Recovery Act, demanding more labour representation on National Recovery Act boards and committees, and also asked for adequate unemployment relief this winter. A resolution urged President Roosevelt to restore the salary reductions. of Government employees as soon as possible.
