NEW ZEALAND LEGION
* Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, a member of the national council of the New Zealand Legion, will arrive in Christchurch from the north this morning, and on the evening of Wednesday next will address a public meeting on the aims and objects of the legion. Mr Evan Parry, of Wellington, will also speak at the meeting, which will be held in St. James' Theatre. Sir Andrew Russell is a distinguished New Zealander, and has for many years been president of the Dominion executive of the Returned Soldiers' Association. He has interested himself actively in local government affairs in Hawke's Bay.
