LICENSING AUTHORITY'S SITTING —f_ The No. 8 Transport District Licensing Authority continued its sitting yesterday, Mr C. P. Agar presiding, with him being Messrs M. Bethell (Culverden) and G. S. The unusual colour of a coin handed to an Auckland professional man as a halfpenny change attracted his attention. The coin, which is made of brass, is a replica of a George 111. guinea. On the obverse side it shows that monarch's head, and on the other side are the usual coat of arms and the date 1797, but the inscription reads, "In memory of the good old days."
